Told you so (#2)

Well, I said to watch for this to happen over the next two weeks, but it took less than 48 hours for the liberal media to pounce on what they consider, "too good to be true, Joe the Plumber."

The sad thing is- Joe IS an average American and all the feeble attempts to dig up "dirt" on him in an attempt to discredit him only provide more evidence to the fact.

Go Joe!

Joe the Plumber made a concerted effort to enter politics when he saw cameras outside his home, and got up to question Obama. And he may have disingenuously presented himself.

On the other hand, the McCain campaign made a concerted effort to turn Joe into an icon, a cause, and a rallying cry against their perception of Obama's wealth redistribution. They thrust him into the spotlight, and tried to turn him into a winning issue.

To quote Andrew Sullivan, "if you live by the game of anecdote then you also have to die by it."

But if you honestly believe that Joe is the GOP's last great hope, more power to ya, but in 24 hour news cycles, the 'story was always destined to die before week's end.
